The year 2009 saw Co. 31 answer 233 calls.  This is 5 calls shy of the most ever run in the 205 year history of the Dept.  The Dept. averaged 10 firefighters per call with a total of 276 1/2 hours in-service time for the 233 calls.  The estimated (non-vehicular) property damage totaled $585,300.  A large portion of the dollar loss was from a fire at Jack Pencil's racing garage, an estimated $545,000.  There were an additional 177 other non-emergency activities for the year, that brought the total number of activities to 410.
